[Definition of raw tokoroten]
"Raw" refers to a product where the broth from boiling Amakusa seaweed is directly filled into a container and then cooled and solidified.
While typical tokoroten is made by first solidifying it into a sheet, then cutting and reshaping it, "raw tokoroten" is never reshaped and is packaged as is after it's made. In other words, the ingredients are only tengusa seaweed and water.
Without using any additives or vinegar, this tokoroten (agar jelly) retains its delicate aroma, flavor, and transparency, making it truly "freshly made."
